Uncommon Reporting Items, Statement of Cash Flows and Tax Basis Financial Statements
This course provides a comprehensive analysis of the presentation of cash flows and the related disclosures for cash flows. Other GAAP items are covered in depth to include natural disasters (Acts of God), terrorist acts and insurance transactions related to these events. Accounting for entities in bankruptcy, web site development costs, fair value disclosures and similar measures is presented along with subsequent events and deficiencies. This course concludes with an exploration into the reporting and disclosure requirements for tax basis financial statements including the Cash Flow Statement, titles, combined financial statements, disregarded entities, uses to file criterion, state income tax, depreciation, agreements not to compete and insolvency disclosures.
Upon successful completion of Uncommon Reporting Items, Statement of Cash Flows and Tax Basis Financial Statements, the user should be able to:
recognize the correct presentation for items on the statement of cash flows,
determine how to properly account and report for disasters (Acts of God), terrorist acts and insurance transactions, and
identify the appropriate reporting for tax basis financial statements.
