The SBA’s PPP – Applying, Spending, and Asking for Forgiveness

CATEGORY: Management
4 CPE Credits
Level: Update
The CARES Act authorized the Small Business Administration (SBA) to make Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) loans to qualified businesses during the pandemic. Late breaking 2020 legislation, the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2021, includes a second draw of PPP loans, and provides new rules on PPP eligibility, supplemental borrowing, and loan forgiveness. This webinar will review the rules that now apply to PPP1 (round one) and PPP2 (round two) loans, including an in-depth discussion on the allowable uses of PPP proceeds, the loan forgiveness process, SBA Interim Final Rule guidance, and how the PPP intersects with the federal income tax returns of borrowers.
