Identity theft is rampant these days and this includes tax refund fraud. It's important to learn how to protect yourself and your clients from theft of personal information that can be used for tax refund fraud. This course will identify the various means used to commit identity theft and how thieves obtain the information necessary to commit these crimes. This course explains the steps involved in the investigations of theft and how to work with the tax authorities to help get your proper return or your client's return processed. This course is most beneficial to professionals new to tax refund fraud perpetrated by identity theft. These individuals are often at the staff or entry level in an organization, although this course may also benefit a seasoned professional with limited exposure to tax refund fraud perpetrated by identify theft.
