This course walks the learner through how to handle some common problems encountered when working with QuickBooks. Topics discussed include how to handle common payroll processing issues such as processing manual checks, advances, and voiding and deleting paychecks. It goes on to help the learner resolve issues with tax reporting and 1099s, as well as walking the learner through basic information needed to issue paychecks and process payroll. And finally, it walks the learner through how to handle common sales tax issues with QuickBooks. This course is most beneficial to professionals new to QuickBooks who may be at the staff or entry level in organization but also for an experienced professional with limited exposure to this subject.
Upon successful completion of this course, the user should be able to:
identify the information needed for processing payroll in QuickBooks and the solutions to common problems with manual checks, advances, and voiding and deleting paychecks,
recognize how payroll liabilities are calculated, paid, and adjusted utilizing QuickBooks and how to prepare and resolve common issues with various payroll tax forms using QuickBooks or information acquired within QuickBooks, and
recognize the frequent issues QuickBooks users have with income tax preparation and reporting, including linking various accounts to income tax forms, how 1099 preferences and vendors are set up, and the process of verifying and printing 1099 forms.
