This unique winter series conference provides practical guidance on how to conduct efficient and effective audits of small businesses using PPC’s Guide to Audits of Nonpublic Companies. This course highlights the latest audit guidance from standard setters, including implementation of SAS Nos. 134-143.  Best practices for the use and customization of PPC practice aids will also be illustrated. Major topics include audit planning, risk assessment, formulating the audit strategy, evaluating, and testing internal controls, designing, and performing further audit procedures, audit sampling, and documentation. This conference presentation will include questions and answer periods between the instructor and the participants to provide an engaging and interactive experience.
