Checkpoint Learning
Course Detail
This webinar will explore the many ways of using the internal revenue code to reduce the cost of medical care. Starting with the federal subsidies for health insurance available for millions of US taxpayers and ending with a list of the medical items which are deductible on Schedule A. In between we will analyze the benefits from deduction medical expenses as an adjustment to income by way of utilizing Health Savings Accounts, Medical Savings Accounts, the deduction for self employed taxpayers and the best treatment for those who pay Medicare Premiums.
Many of these items including long term care insurance are subject to limitations but fortunately are not subject to the phase out rules for high income taxpayers.
Instructor: Tony Johnson, CPA
Instructor assignments are fluid and subject to change.
NOTE: The voluntary IRS Annual Filing Season Program (AFSP) requires that CE Sponsors collect PTINs from IRS professionals who wish to receive IRS credit. IRS PTIN holders (including Enrolled Agents) should enter their IRS PTIN into Checkpoint Learning so that course completions can be reported to the IRS. You do not need to enter your PTIN for each course you take; you only need to add it once. If you have any questions on how to do this, please contact us 800-431-9025.
THIS WEBINAR IS NOT ELIGIBLE FOR CTEC CREDIT.
