This course covers different individual tax planning issues that the CPA should know for their client's well being. The course covers the issues of Individual Retirement accounts and Roth IRA. This includes deductible and nondeductible contributions. It also discusses retirement plan distributions and taxation on the different distributions such as early distributions and minimum distribution requirements. Charitable contributions are reviewed including qualifying organizations, types of property donated and limitations. Charitable remainder trusts are discussed including how they are created and what investments are allowed, and the required distributions. Included are the additional taxes on earned and investment income that start in 2013. Lastly, the different education incentives are discussed including the different tax advantage ways to save for education.
