By the end of this seminar you should be able to understand the AICPA’s independence requirements under the Code of Professional Conduct; review the independence rules that CPAs must apply in everyday conduct; discuss independence requirements for specialized practice areas (e.g., PCAOB/SEC, GAO and IFAC); gain insights into application of the independence standards through practical examples of situations encountered in your everyday practice.
