IRS Forms and the Authorized e-File Provider
Many of the forms provided by the IRS are available online for instant download from the IRS website, but not all of them. This can be a real problem for procrastinators who wait until the deadline to retrieve the forms. Knowing which forms must be requested to be mailed from the IRS is important. This course will provide that information. After identifying and receiving the form, it still must be filed with the IRS. Becoming an Authorized e-File Provider with the IRS is an option to help build a CPA firm and offer yet another valuable service. This course outlines the requirements of becoming just such a provider. This course is most beneficial to professionals new to filing forms with the IRS who may be at the staff or entry level in organization but also for a seasoned professional with limited exposure to accessing IRS forms.
Upon successful completion of this course, the user should be able to:
distinguish between which IRS forms are available for instant download from the IRS website and which must be requested to be mailed from the IRS; and
determine the requirements to become an Authorized e-File Provider through the IRS.
