IRAs - Contributions Updated
Many wage earners have IRA investments. Are wage earners up on the numerous changes that Congress made to IRAs? This course is intended to integrate the specific tax laws as well as Treasury interpretations with respect to contributions to, transfers to and between, distributions from, and the excise tax rules that are applicable to traditional IRAs. Finally, the course provides and illustrates the reporting requirements for IRAs. The course includes the provisions provided by recent legislation. Impacts of the 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act are also discussed, where applicable.
Upon successful completion of this course, the user should be able to:
recognize individual retirement accounts (IRAs),
identify traditional IRA contribution rules and transfers to, between, and through a traditional IRA,
recognize excise taxes and distributions, and
identify SEP and SIMPLE IRAs.
