This course provides instruction on a selection of basic grammar and punctuation rules for professionals. The value of proper written communication should not be underestimated. Writing seems simple, but errors occur every day giving the impression that the business entity or individual professional is sloppy or uneducated. Using good grammar, proofreading, and utilizing published and proven style guides can add value to products, impress customers, improve negotiations with vendors, and increase the potential for professional advancement and success. This course discusses grammar, punctuation, and style from a broad perspective, focusing on issues that occur more often in business writing. It discusses the importance of grammar and spelling when working remotely, and touches on style and issues relevant to current events.
