This course presents the effects of changing prices, a review of guidelines for measuring and presenting voluntary supplementary information, preparation of the statement of cash flows, the three major types of cash flow activities as well as illustrations of the direct and indirect methods of reporting cash flows from operating activities. Next, the subject of the accounting requirements for entities with foreign operations is examined including functional currency, foreign currency transactions, and foreign currency hedges. Partnership accounting is comprehensively reviewed from initial formation, adding new partners, partner withdrawal, and partner liquidation. The course also covers investments in equity securities, business combinations, the cost and equity methods of recording investments and procedures required to prepare consolidated financial statements are explained and illustrated.
