Explore a variety of educational incentives as a result of recent tax legislation (including and not limited to the SECURE Act of 2019, CARES Act of 2020, Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2021 (CAA,2021), and the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 (ARPA)) and the applicable tax rules that are available for pre-college, undergraduate, graduate, primary, secondary, and in some cases, continuing professional education expenses. This course provides an in-depth review of the education incentive provisions that are provided in the IRC for taxpayers saving for the cost of higher education. Included in this course are topics such as the American Opportunity, and Lifetime Learning credits, Coverdell IRA, traditional and Roth IRAs, and qualified tuition programs, to name a few. This course is most appropriate for the professional with detailed knowledge in tax incentives and credits who may be at a mid-level position within an organization with operational or supervisory responsibilities, or both.
