It provides an in depth explanation of strategic thinking and the basics of managing risk. The course provides the importance of managing working capital and cash management. The course describes the elements of creating a capital structure and the requirements for obtaining long and short-term financing for the business. Mergers and acquisitions are a component of financial management and the course describes the key elements and types of mergers and why they are a component of business strategy and operations. Finally, the course discusses and describes the elements and techniques for operational planning and analysis, including budgeting and financial forecasting techniques. This course is appropriate for beginning staff and those new to the finance role.
