Estates and Trusts
With the retirement of the generation of baby boomers, estate planning is in demand more than ever. This course will enable you to identify the probate estate and the role of the probate court. You will learn the structure of a will and the requirements for creating and changing wills. The purpose and characteristics of trusts will be discussed. The course also explains the use of lifetime gifts, charitable transfers, and the marital deduction. You will learn the use of the unified credit as well as the use of generation-skipping trusts. This course has been updated for the impacts of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act. This course is most appropriate for the professional with detailed knowledge in estates and trusts who may be at a mid-level position within an organization with operational or supervisory responsibilities, or both.
