Jennifer Louis, CPA will discuss how nonprofit entities are particularly susceptible to cyber threats and breaches of data security. She will examine the most important practices a nonprofit entity can employ to promote cyber and data security, and the legal implications that can arise when an entity fails to properly manage cybersecurity responsibilities. Jennifer will also take a look at tips for preventing malicious code attacks, and certain anti-virus tools, before closing the segment with a discussion of how an organization can be remotely exploited by scanning software.
Upon completion of this course Cybersecurity Risk Management for NFPs, the user should be able to:
recognize what cyberthreats involve and how nonprofit organizations are particularly vulnerable,
identify what is key when managing cybersecurity and what tools are necessary if a breach occurs, and
recognize what a SOC report is and what information it contains.
