Course Detail
For 2020, California’s tax law remains fluid. A November ballot initiative seeks to significantly erode Proposition 13. If it passes, its impact on the State’s business climate could be massive. AB5 continues to be a big question mark, what with the challenges and numerous exemptions. In addition to recent changes and proposals, the course will review the types of entities allowed to do business in California, along with the relative advantages and disadvantages of each. Particular attention is paid to LLC’s. The rules of residency are covered as well as property tax provisions of Prop. 13. All this along with California conformity (or lack thereof) with the Families First Coronavirus Response Act and the Cares Act.
