Business Sustainability: The Integration of Environmental, Social, and Business Best Practice

CATEGORY: Specialized Knowledge & Applications
4 CPE Credits
Level: Overview
Over the last two decades business sustainability and ESG investing has gone mainstream. Recognition of the finite nature of natural resources has occasioned the need for the marriage of sound business principles with environmental and social best practices in companies, worldwide. In addition, the consideration of employee, customer, and community interests has gotten the attention of corporate leadership. Businesses have come to realize that sustainability best practices can reduce costs, decrease risk, enhance reputation, increase employee retention, and satisfy investor expectations. Effective implementation of sustainability policies and practices requires detailed planning and disciplined execution, along with the development of useful metrics (objectives and milestones) to measure and monitor results. Accounting professionals are key players in that process. This webinar provides them with the requisite knowledge and tools to optimize their firm’s or their client’s sustainability objectives.
